Knowing Then…

……what I know now?

I would have / should have / could have just walked out of the screening of “Knowing” at about 1 hour into the film. Somehow, they chose to emulate the film “The Abyss“, and as James Cameron did, go goofy and totally piss away the ending of what was up to that point a really good spooky Sci-Fi / Action film.

It’s just conjecture on my part to say that they couldn’t figure out how to end it so they gave it to Larry the janitor and said “have at it”,  but (sort of  like the producers) I can’t come up with a better conclusion.

I don’t want to be a spoiler here, but should you receive a call from mother nature (or a work call on your cel phone) soon after the subway crash scene where you sure can see the result of all of  the CGI techies work, it’s o.k., go ahead and get out of your seat and answer it.

Actually, you wouldn’t miss all that much if you left after the excellent “Lost” style aircraft crash scene.

Don’t worry, it’s a good christian film  and (as usual) god conquers all at the end. Oh yeah,  the prodigal son returns to the fold.

Well, at least he does for a few minutes, anyway.

And his son becomes the next Adam.

On another planet.

But do tell me, what’s the significance of those white rabbits?
