What, Me Worry?

This page was written in 2007 and it can correctly be called page 1 for this blog, and it may be as good as any of a way to tell people where I came from and where the blog may go.

As for the “me” part, I came to California (listen to the Journey song about a guy born and raised in South Detroit, that could describe me) long ago to this land of sunglasses and autographs, also known as Los Angeles.

A reflection of reality is often better than the actual reality

I have other names for this place, but I’m not sure how strict WordPress is on censorship so let’s just say that if California was seriously constipated, this city is where you would insert the syringe.

L.A.Traffic ControlMore to be added the next time I’m just sitting around in traffic.

Feel free to ignore any ads that are shown below, I don’t get to choose them and (sadly) I don’t make a penny off any of them, so in the holy name of capitalism I rebuke and don’t endorse or support any of them, unless of course they’re made of funny stuff…..

P.S., check back for occasional updates and rewrites….

    Rumo(u)r has it that you’re a dual national (Amerikan-Canajun).

Moi aussi. Only I live in Quebec where I’m safe. That does not, however, mean that I don’t admire your survival skills.

Anyway, compromised identities and fluctuating cultural alienation are part and parcel of our lot. At least, of my lot.

It’s a tough row to hoe, but Edith and I, we have no regrets. I don’t envy the normal children anymore.

    Nice blog, by the way.

Thanks for following my old and long-neglected blog, The Familographer. I’ve migrated it to a website that I’ll open soon, familography.com. I hope you’ll follow me over there. I like your work, too. I’d like to get your gmail at jdlarge. Happy New Year!
