Unlimited Calls? Both Of Them? And Texts Too!

Gee thanks Verizon, that’s really a nice bone you slipped me with unlimited calls and texts, but it seems that I make less than 3 or 4 calls a week that don’t involve working around you with Skype, and those texts that cost you nothing, damn fine of you to not try to extort a few more pennies from me on top of your exorbitant rates that subsidize the golden parachutes for your “brilliant execs”.

I got rid of Time Warner cable a few years ago, and I’m looking to do the same with my cell phone very soon. Your service is wonderful but the lack of an upside for me for the $140 or so a month that you pull from my pocket for an infrastructure that’s long been in place and paid for seems a bit one sided.

So to paraphrase a quote from the real Rev. Bill Graham:
