A Matter Of A Degree Or Two On The 22nd
Every once in a while I’ll come up with an idea for a “What If” scenario, and then take a run through the possible divergent paths that it might cause to happen, versus what actually did happen.
With all the hype which I’m sure has no relation to all of those recent t.v. specials about the **alleged** John F. Kennedy Dallas shooting, todays derailed train of thought has to be “What If” the shooter was off by only a fraction of a degree? What if there had been a gust of wind that was strong enough to deflect the arc of the bullet, and Jacqueline Kennedy was the one who took the hit?
Most likely occurrence? JFK makes major accomplishments as a liberal politician and then sweeps the re-election for his second term after the Republicans decide they might as well run Nixon again since they have no chance to win against that certain sympathy vote anyway.
Next up: What if Sirhan B. Sirhan, the (I.M.H.O.), first Arab terrorism purveyor in America didn’t just happen to, for whatever reason, be carrying a gun in kitchen area of the Ambassador hotel just as Robert Kennedy walked by?
** C’mon now, do you really think that one person acting alone using a crapped out WWII Italian bolt action rifle was able to aim, shoot, take his eye from the scope while he re-cocks it, then re-aims it and manages to squeeze off a second and then a third round in just a few seconds and hit a moving target a few hundred yards away that was smaller than one of the paper plates you had your 4th of July barbeque meal on?
