What the film “Killer Elite” really needed.

In a word, Subtitles.

Yes, the bulk of the words that are used in the recent film Killer Elite” are in what’s often called english, and it’s true that they’re similar to the kind of words spoken in America, but there were only three actors in the film that an American audience, even when given the situations and body language could be able to understand more than ten percent of the time.

Strangely, the best known of the three “understandables” mentioned above was Robert De Niro, who hasn’t been known for his eloquence or enunciation. And the other two? A new (to me) cute young blonde actress by the name of Yvonne Strahovski, and Aden Young, a Canadian who may have learned to speak ‘Murican from across the border, either  by  watching our t.v. shows or osmosis.

To say this film blows would be giving it some undue praise, but with a new script and some re-shooting and re-editing to it, who knows?

Oh yeah, and subtitles……
